Christmas presents for your co-workers. While choosing books,
you must think about the tastes of each of your colleagues.
Otherwise a plastic smile will greet your gifts and you will
find little enthusiasm on their part to take home your presents.
Food basket :
While you can buy them readymade, it is better if you take the
pains to arrange the contents of each basket all by yourself.
Handmade things always add a personal touch and it would be
wonderful if you try some Christmas recipes at home and pack
them for your colleagues. Put in a Christmas cake, homemade
cookies and of course you can toss in some chocolates, cheese,
popcorns and fruits bought off the shelf.
Christmas Stockings :
You can buy some mini-sized budget stockings. Write with
glitter/marker pen the names of your colleagues on each stocking
and personalize them. Fill each of these with small goodies like
chocolates, inexpensive gift certificates, mini banana nut
breads and brownies. Put each of these in a small box, carefully
enwrap with gift paper and use as presents. Write the name of
each colleague on a small card and write a personal holiday
message to each of them. Attach these with glue/cello tape on
the boxes meant for them.
Writing instruments :
One good idea is to purchase a boxed set of pens for every
colleague of yours. It will be great if you can personalize each
pen by having them engraved with the name of the recipients.
Entertainment items :
You pass almost every day of your life with your co-workers. If
you are not new to your present office, you must be knowing the
tastes of every colleague of yours. If you are a newcomer, you
can do a bit of research by talking to them and elicit
information about their favorite singers in a seemingly casual
conversation without giving away your motive. Then buy audio CDs
of each of their favorite artist. For the movie buffs among your
co-workers, you can buy a DVD of a movie that you know they will
like, or a season of their favorite TV show.
